Switching to a bottle

So, we have decided to leave Marley with Mom for the Disney trip we are taking in September. It was hard to decide, but she really won't have any fun there at her age...and she loves Mom...so I feel completely comfortable leaving her. Since I am breastfeeding her, I have decided to wean her. I decided to go cold turkey and see how it goes. First bottle of breast milk was Monday at 7am. She reached out for it and took it with no problem. I was shocked. Given her personality, I thought she would for sure give me problems. She never ceases to amaze me though. Yesterday went really well! She also took her bottle fine this morning! I am off to BabiesRUs to buy some glass bottles today because I am paranoid about all the plastic we are using. Then, next week, I will start to mix in formula (a little at a time) with the breast milk until she is on formula 100%. My boobs are a little sore, but that is just how it is I guess. I am eliminating one pumping session per week so it won't hurt too bad. Wish us luck!
Polly moment
I feel like a blog-hog, but I think I will blame that on Grandma Polly. So, I went to my friends house for dinner last night. Left Polly alone for two hours. This is what I came home to:

She had put on her Sunday best over her clothes. Notice the rolled up jeans.

She had also take most of the stuff off her bookshelf, and placed it on her bed. She frequently "hides" stuff...in her drawers, under her dresser, in her closet...I get the feeling she does not trust me? I think she was in the process of hiding all this stuff?! Good times.

MJ bouncing away
You know you love my silent videos! Marley has finally started to enjoy her Johnny-jumper (thanks LuLu, someday we will return it!). But, as with most toys, it doesn't take her long to get bored and mad!

HSM2
So I know this is silent, I guess our camera doesn't record sounds...haha, sorry...would have been much better with noise. Check out Ky doing his "Fabulous" impression :)
Polly's pockets

Need I say more? I am all alone with Polly duty now...uuughhhh. Before her bath every night I have her empty her pockets. I am not brave enough to stick my hands in them myself, so she does the dirty work. It is always fun seeing what she has gathered during the day. Sometimes there are just dirty Kleenex, sometimes she has Ky's toys tucked away in there. One time my mom found my car keys in there! This has got to be the best so far, since the rice crispy treats will probably never come out...they had been in there since lunch time. I can't believe she managed to get all this stuff in my one front pocket! Yikes.

Don't act like your not impressed
When the heck is Tracy going to get better and get sent home from the hospital? Poor girl! Remember to keep her in your prayers! So I lost my mama today to some family out west...man, what am I going to do without her?

Here are some new pics of my garden. I don't mean to brag, but do you see how BIG my zucchini is? Size does matter, in the garden at least. haha Also, if you look really closely at the corn stalk, I think I see an actual cob growing?! Dad says I did not plant enough corn, so it won't grow...we'll see.

My garden is dope

One more post today to show you how crazy my garden is! I love it. The corn is so tall! The zucchini squash is almost ready to pick, and I am just waiting to see what my edamame does now. We planted some more radish too. The broccoli is being taken over by the squash, so I kinda gave up on it. The carrots look ok, but they still have awhile to go. Check it out! Who would have thought I could grow anything? Gotta love it!
It's all for love, Kirstynn
So copying Kirstynn is one of my most favorite things to do. I can't help it, she does alot of cool stuff & I want to be just like her. Some day, maybe. Anyways, so I am all alone (not really true) cause Matt left for Utah today. It really is sad without him. Now is the time that everyone should feel sorry for me...don't you feel sorry for me?! haha So, I always like to eat my emotions, so I started with making some yummy egg rolls that I copied from Joni (oh I do a lot of copying). Joni brought them over on the 4th of July and Matt & I ate them up so fast! It is an easy recipe and semi-healthy, if you ignore the frying in oil thing. So I took some pictures (back to my obsession with Kirstynn) so you can see how beautiful and delicious they are. It's really easy too! First, you cook 1lb of turkey in a skillet, then add 1 cup of shredded carrots, and 1 can of french style green beans (drained). Mix up well.
Then you wrap them up in egg roll wraps, sold usually in the cold section of the grocery store by the produce.

Then you pan fry the egg rolls in an inch or so of oil until they are brown. They are so good! I am about to go eat some more (seriously). Thank you Joni for the good idea...and thank you Kirstynn for inspiring me to take a picture of everything I do! Love you all!

Baby Zac

Sorry, just a few more pics of my children. So Mattson leaves Saturday for Utah. We are going to miss him so much! Pray for his safety and success. Marley had her 6 month check up today. She is 14 lbs 8 oz, and 26 inches long...or long and skinny. She is healthy, even though her head measured off the charts! haha She can thank her daddy for that trait! I am just blessed that Matt and I have two healthy kids!Happy 4th of July

Here are some recent pictures from us. For the 4th we went to Brighton's parade downtown. It was fun. Ky and Polly loved getting candy from the people in the parade. After it was done, the firetruck parked in the middle of the street and hosed the kids down. It was so cool (or cold)! Ky LOVED every second of it though! After that we went to our friends for a backyard BBQ & swim in the lake. Then Derek, Joni, & Mikey stopped by...and we ate again with them :) Joni, I LOVE your egg rolls! I am going to make them soon, they were so so so yummy!
