Out of the Loop

Hey gals! What's been going on? I feel like we've been out of the loop for a while. Why haven't we seen many pictures from your Weekend Extravaganza in Las Vegas? We're bummed we couldn't make it out. I can't imagine how we would have been able to handle the travel with 3 good arms and 3 good legs. Hahaha.

Mikey's fighting off a fever right now. His temps been pretty high since Friday, but it seems to be breaking - finally. We think his molars are coming in. He seems to get a high fever that (to the doctor) is "viral," and we can't do anything for, whenever he has teeth come in. I hope that's it. He's growing so much and definitely isn't a baby anymore. He knows where his ears, mouth and feet are and barks at all the dogs he sees in the neighborhood. He loves to just walk around outside and play with sticks. We have a collection outside our back door.

Derek's doing much better. He started physical therapy last week. He's wearing tennis shoes on both feet and it helps him walk. He's working a lot, but work's actually getting better for him. Hopefully things will continue to get better. It's crazy to think he's been working there almost a year!

My grandmother (on my dad's side) passed away almost 2 weeks ago. She lived in the Detroit area, so we had family in and out a couple weeks ago. Last week we were all in Hillsdale for funeral services. She was sick since Thanksgiving, in and out of the hospital with heart failure and complications from that. She was a fiesty little SayGan, and we're all lucky to have her as our guardian angel.

Not much else going on here. The 3 of us are heading up to Traverse City for a long weekend in a few weeks, then to Hillsdale again at the end of the month for Jasmine's graduation.
