There's my Spidergirl at her school party, or "Harvest Festival" to be politically correct. Retards - its HALLOWEEN!

What a good "mummy" I am...

haha? Gotta give some credit to my friend La for coming up with that. Anyways, here are some fun cookies we made the other day. The perfect Halloween treat!

First, you need a really enthusiastic 6 year old to help make the gingerbread men

I am just glad I don't like gingerbread cookies, therefore am not tempted to eat all the batter!

Help from a almost 2 year old is optional...

Last, cover your gingerbread men with frosting to make their mummy costumes

Looks good! Guess which one I made? :)

Fall Family Pictures

Hey Everyone... I just thought I'd add some pictures from the last month. It's been a great fall.

Mikey's first haircut without crying! He did such a great job.

Katie's pulling herself up on everything and cruising. She's going to be a walker before we know it!

Here we are - getting pumpkins at the market down the street.

We went to a corn maze last weekend. We had a great time. There was a hay bale mountain that Mikey loved climbing.

Fall outside our house!

Katie's Baptism

Here are pictures from the Dip! It was so great to have Ken, Alison, Mattson and the kids there. Katie did a great job. She didn't start crying until mass was over and we were taking pictures.

Jess, Scott and the kids after church.

All of us after church.

Father Iione showing Katie off to the congregation after she was baptized.

All of us holding a candle during the baptism.

Getting ready for the actual "dip".

26.2 miles later...

Sunday was such a hard day for me. After training for four months, I ran the Detroit Marathon. It took me 5 hours and 35 minutes. The first half was very exciting! We ran over the USA-Canada bridge, and then back through the tunnel. At the half way mark, my spirits got a little low. I pushed though it though thanks to some energy gel (yuck), lots of Gatorade, and prayer. The last two miles were killer. My knee was so tight and hurt really bad. I wanted to stop and just walk the rest of it. Thank goodness my sweet husband kept sending me positive texts, encouraging me to push through the pain and finish strong. I am not sure I will run another marathon, and I am really not sure my knees will even allow me to try...but I am glad I did it. I still cannot believe I did it. There was a poster there that said: "The pride will far outlast the pain." I will keep you posted on that...

Here are the kids, munching on the yummy Edible Arrangement basket Mama & Tracy sent! Thanks guys!
